Hi Roger,
I’m resident in the UK and i use a proxy server to test and decipher a CPA offer’s URL which i believe would be used as a display URL in google adwords.. But when i use the display URL in google adwords, it keeps telling me {inaccurate Display URL}
How can i go aroud this. I use Roirocket, Azoogle ads and Hydra network
Hello Kinzo. I have come across similar problems when accessing CPA offers, where the landing page is not located in the same region as your AdWords acct (for example a US-targeted offer and landing page… but using an AdWords UK and Ireland account to manage your ads).
This is likely caused by the fact that you are using a proxy server to ‘simulate’ a USA location. This is as it should be, because unless it’s an international offer, you’re not going to see the product landing page any other way.
Problem is, the UK AdWords automatic and human review system are not using a proxy server. Because being located in the UK, they cannot see the landing page properly. Unfortunately, google reviewers in the UK I have talked to about this issue don’t seem to have a very good understanding of it.
The solutions I am going to suggest for you are;
1. Don’t direct link. Make a review page and host it on a server you control (for example, Hostgator or 1to1). Then the actual URL and Display URL will match every time. You can then link out to whatever URL for any region you wish. Review pages convert better than direct-linking anyway in my experience.
2. Open a USA AdWords account if you can and build your USA targeted campaigns there. This can be done if you have a US credit card and address, or know someone who does.
3. Avoid Google AdWords for CPA offers. Use Yahoo, Microsoft AdCenter, Pulse360 and others instead. They are not nearly as much trouble as AdWords… and you will run out of money with those sources before you run out of traffic…

hi again roger!
finally i can answer as much as i want to grrreat =D
1 – amishmagic bullet direct linking trick does it use iframing? if so isnt that something that could get google ban your adwordsaccount?
2 – what affiliatenetworks can one really trust according to your experience (not getting paid, etc.)
3 – doing landingpage for cpaoffers, is it best just copying some good graphics from the cpaoffers own landingpage then or is it maybe using directlinking on those kinds of pages…+ should one allways try to build the list on that same page?

@Kenneth Svensson
Hello Kenneth. Yes it is fine to have more than one AdWords acct. In fact, it may be advisable for a variety of reasons
Hello Ken.
1. You’d have to ask Amish about that one. I have seen the method you mention but have not tried it. According to what I have read it looks like it works.
2. I trust and use Ads4Dough, Azoogle, Copeac, Revenue Loop, Epicenter, Direct Agents and Clickbooth. They are all good. I also hear that Neverblue and Hydra are popular with other CPA guys. You should also sign up for a free acct at http://www.offervault.com and see what offers are running on different networks and the have some excellent CPA training videos at Offervault, too.
3. I typically build my own page and have 3 CPA offers on that page. It leads to far greater conversions in my experience and you have far greater flexibility with what video you show (and I always have a ‘newsy’ type of video start, automatically, when the page loads). You can also have some scripts activate when the reader does certain things on your page, which is impossible with direct linking.
I generally do not mix CPA with list-building, but it would be something to test (make sure it does not hurt your conversions) and don’t make the mistake of trying to get the reader to do too much on a single web page.

Hi Roger,
I have a lot of experience on the web. Sold my own ebook programs
etc. but no real experience with CPA’s.
I’m looking to make a consistent $100 net per day in CPA to start
to prove to myself that this is doable.
Any guidance regarding this would be very appreciated. Also
if you have any of your own products regarding this, please
let me know.
Thanks
Ted
Hello Ted, looks like you have the right attitude for CPA. Start small, test, prove each concept to yourself and roll it out on a bigger scale. That’s what I do. I started losing at first, then was making $50 a day… proved what worked to myself and then added traffic sources. Now I get PPC or banner traffic from about 9 different sources (NONE of them are Google) and consistently bring in $500-$1500 (a day) for each CPA market I enter and stick around in (I fail about 75% of the time but kill the losers and boost up the winners).
You can make tons of money in CPA even if you fail 90% of the time, as long as you don’t give up and make the 10% winning offers really work.
The kind of person I have found to be successful in CPA is;
- one who takes effective ACTION (not just thinking about it or researching too long)
- disciplined with their processes, testing and tracking
- has a mind for detail
- a bit of a gambler, but a controlled gambler (you cannot sweat spending $100-200 to test a market)
- builds their own simple web pages (then you can make changes on the fly)
- has some graphics skills to edit images etc
- “thinks outside the box” (not just next to the box, either… for example some CPA guys are marketing Dating offers, to geeks surfing computer technology sites… now THAT’S thinking outside the box – and it WORKS too)
My recommendation for you is to start with CPA offers in the Health / Cosmetics / Skincare niches. Target women age 25-54.
Stay away from Google for CPA until you get more advanced. People who are failing in CPA are mainly trying to use the wrong tool for the job (the wrong tool is Google). Use other PPC sources such as Yahoo and MSN.
Always use video on your landing page that starts immediately when the person arrives at your page. This video should generally be a ‘newsy’ video that grabs their attention. There are tons of such videos all ready to be used (they even give you the embed code – so you don’t have to do anything fancy to get them into your webpage) – you don’t have to make videos yourself – although I often do. Just make sure there are no copyright issues and away you go.
You asked about products. I will have my own coming out later this year, but one you can get right now is Zero Friction Marketing. It describes a number of the techniques I use and have proven to be effective. You can get a copy at this link; http://tinyurl.com/lnubs4

Hi Roger
2 questions today. 1/ have you heard of saj.p and his clickbank CPA product that is being promoted as the 1000% path top CPA success. and what are your thoughts on it?
2/ do you do coaching one on one for making money online?
Jay Roberts
UK
Hello Jay. Yes, I purchased Saj’ CPA product, Zero Friction Marketing. And I got valuable tips on it. Particularly with respect to media buying. In my opinion, it’s worth getting and it has more than paid for itself for me, in 5 days, with additional CPA commissions. More here;

P.S. You also asked about coaching. Yes, I do that one-on-one but I am a little busy at the moment and about to go on vacation in Canada. If you contact me later in August I will be happy to chat about it with you.
Hi Roger,
Regarding Traffic Regenerator; I never thought “annoying” and “profitable” could be used in the same sentence, but TrafficRegenerator looks like a real winner. I plan to sign up soon. I’ll let you know when I do.
As for the landing page, do you use a review site for all your CPA promotions or is there another type you use?
Thanks,
Paul
Hello Paul,
Traffic Regenerator http://bit.ly/regen7 can seem a little of a distraction, but recall that a viewer on your page typically only sees it if they are leaving. Also, the level of intrusiveness is selectable (voice / no voice… type of image… plus a bunch of other custom features). Many CPA affs including me are using this with CPA review pages.
Yes, I use a review webpage about 90% of time. But I do use direct linking to research new markets and products to see if they convert, before going for the full review page process, which does take about 5 hours to do properly, including the video.
Regarding the link you sent me by email, yes I believe you are definitely on the right track with that page. The audio sets you apart from 95% of other webpages promoting the same items, right away.
Your logos are good at the top, but I suggest making them smaller. Don’t overdo it with logos on your review page.
Also, have one or two images of middle-aged women at the top of your page, who represent the market you are targeting. As a guide, look at almost any MSN article page for women’s products or issues. If you model your page on what MSN does, you can almost never go wrong. They have tested hundreds (if not thousands) of formats.

Thank you Roger for replying so soon. I really want to get this resolved ASAP so I can start some campaigns. (I know this should not impede the process to start and I have already bought domain names thru Godaddy, hosting by Hostgator, FTP by Filezilla and am probably pretty close to putting some campaigns together).
Now you said that you don’t do direst linking. I read somewhere that you use direst linking to start a campaign and then use a landing page,pre-sell page.. etc if it converts so you don’t spend a lot of time on a campaign that may not work, is that true?
By the way I did not pay for the third part you mentioned. I believe you mean the $197 for the OTO.
I have got on Clickbank, Hydra, Neverblue, CJ, Affiliate.com (formerly CPA Empire) and have applied with Azoogle Ads and got on with the one they mentioned on the ZFM site
Which is called CPA Bullet which pertains to Kiosks I believe? Any more you could suggest would be helpful, good ones that do pay on time. Since you have tons more experience than me do you suggest using their graphics that they mention on ZFM like for review sites, CPA offers pre-sell pages etc…or do you have better ones that you use?
I’m still working thru this new skill set which I am told is one of the reasons most people quit at this IM stuff. They say it’s too hard and can’t figure this all out like websites,
landing pages,FTP,hosting,domain names PPC,etc,etc. I think its just like anything else; fear of the unknown or failure, I don’t know.
I think this stuff is amazing and consider it a challenge and fun.
I will probably have many questions until I can wrap my head around this but I learn pretty quick (not quick enough for my wife,lol) and I hope you can answer some of them if need be,
I’ll figure out as much as I can on my own.
Regards
Walt Schick
Roger,
Thanks for all the great information. On the subject of links structure. I am currently running several campaigns and want to track my campaigns by sub id’s. What do you use to keep track of all the different links? I am using different links for each keyword. Now I want to track keywords and traffic sources. DO you have a structure or do you use a program?
thanks again,
David
Hello David. For convenience, I use StatsJunky. Because with that tool you can see all your sub ids in one place, and they update automatically, for all the affiliate networks you deal with.
Now for what you are doing, with a different link for every keyword – that’s the hard way. The easier way is to use PIXEL TRACKING with whatever platform you are using (Google, Microsoft AdCenter, Yahoo, 7 Search etc). Most of these services have conversion tracking with PIXELS already resident in your acct, so you don’t need to use anything else.
Separately, Clickbank does not have in-build pixel tracking at the moment, so if you are using keyword/diff URL with Clickbank, that makes sense. But for the others, you should be using pixels, I would say.
Pixel tracking sounds hard, but once you go through the process once or twice, it literally takes only 30 seconds for each traffic source you use. Some affiliate networks (such as Ads4Dough) that use DirectTrack as their management system allow you to place the pixels yourself in their system, which is great. Lidango also allows you to place your own pixels.
Other networks, such as Copeac and Azoogle, whom I also sent traffic to, require you to send the pixel code you get from Google/Microsoft AdCenter etc to your affiliate manager by email. That also works but is a little more time consuming.
The benefit of pixel tracking is that it gets carried with the transaction right from the first click, through any review, video or other webpages you have, completely to the actual transaction. So I am a big believer in it.
This allows you to see which exact keywords, match (Phrase, Exact etc), individual ad text actually led to the lead or sale. It’s really quite astonishing how much info pixel tracking gives you. So much better than guessing (which is a recipe for disaster).
So my recommendation is to use pixel tracking whenever you can. I will have a video up on the blog shortly, with how to do that.

Roger
Hello Walter. Follow the basics I list in my CPA Profit Freak process, and you will be successful. Start with a small ad budget and test, test, test. CPA involves a lot of trial and error (mostly error). But as long as you test small in the beginning, you will make it.
