August SEO Doctor: Free Help from Roger
I know how hard it can be to get your site ranked well in Google and other search engines. So I want to help you, personally. I am also giving away FREE prizes on my blog, in August. Here are the details;

I’ll take a look and do my very best give you some free, personal tips to get your site ranked better. These tips won’t be B.S. or me trying to sell stuff. They will be based on things I have found PROVEN to work.

While get top position for “Croatian guides”, don’t even appear on first page for similar like “Croatian guide”. Wish most to be close to top for “Croatia luxury travel”.
Site is about 30 months old.
Hello Bob. OK, two quick suggestions for you that’ll be easy for you to implement. I took a look at your competition for the keyphrase, “Croatia Luxury Travel”. Guess what? Quite a few of the top-ranked pages in Google have the words “Croatia Luxury Travel” in the URL (which you DON’T HAVE)! Also, I did a search for the word, “Luxury” on your site and don’t see many instances of it.
ACTION PLAN for YOU:
1. Register a new URL with the keyphrase you are targeting IN the URL
2. Install a WordPress blog on it instead of what you are currently using (it appears you are not currently using one… WordPress works best for SEO for your purpose here because you are missing out on a number of free plugins you could benefiting from)
3. Create some original content (download my free guide to generating original content for the search engines, here; http://www.37adwordssecrets.com/adwords-blog/484/how-to-create-original-content-articles-in-seconds)

Hello Graham. OK I see you have your keyphrase in the URL. which is a good start. Looks like you are not using a WordPress blog, but that is fine as you have quite a bit of content on your existing site but you appear to be missing out on quite a few benefits you could be getting from WordPress.
In your case, here’s what I would do;
ACTION PLAN for YOU:
1. Install a WordPress blog IN ADDITION to your current setup. So use something like;
http://www.myroofinsulation.co.uk/blog
2. Create some new content (see the reference, above) and post it ON THE BLOG
3. Go to blogcatalog.com and register your new blog – why? Google likes to see that your blog is registered at BlogCatalog
4. Register at zimbio.com (free) and set it up so that your new posts on the blog are automatically sent to Zimbio ready for you to approve and post on your new Zimbio pages. Why? Google likes to see that your blog is registered at Zimbio and is used as a source for their content.
5. Make some articles surrounding the keywords you are using and post them at xanga.com . Again, this is free

We are a Northern California Garage Door repair and installation company. From what I can tell, it’s a competitive field and I could use an expert’s advice on how to tackle this.
I think we can definitely improve on our website’s traffic (but then again, there is always room for improvements). And right now I’m trying to push out more efforts into the (new) blog. This blog however, is still very much in the works.
Do you have any suggestions as to how to use SENuke to it’s fullest potential?

Hello Nathan, I have taken a look at your site and have a few suggestions for you. You’re using a WordPress blog, which is good – but I think the theme you are using could be better. The brown color is not creating that great of an impression for a family blog. I would go with a light blue – which increases trust. If you take a look at Amazon’s website – copy whatever they do with how things look. They spend millions on testing and they use BLUE.
The next thing that struck me is this; it was not that clear to me what the blog was actually about.
ACTION PLAN for YOU:
1. Choose a new theme that makes your blog look more “Amazon-like”. Search for “Free WordPress Themes” in google and you will find tons available. Make sure the theme is fairly recent so it can handle WordPress 2.8 and beyond.
2. Get a new custom blog header graphic, CLEARLY STATING what your blog is about and who it’s for. You can get this made at somewhere like Elance.com or Odesk.com or another graphics outsource site. Then get it installed on your blog by someone at Scriptlance.com or similar.
3. Get some short, home videos made that demo the products you are recommending. Start posting them on Youtube.
Do the above and get back to me. Then I will have more tips for you to boost your traffic.

Hello Veronica. OK, I really like how your site looks. You have a great header, big text and I can tell immediately what your site is about (garage doors).
You have your 800-number very prominent and that is EXCELLENT for the business you are in.
There’s a carousel on the home page with images of doors – very good but I can’t see how to control it. You need to have arrows attached to the carousel somehow so it is clearer how to scroll thru it.
I would add a blog to your site – see my comments to the others. Start posting articles on how to choose a door properly etc / best value etc.
Also, get some videos on there and put them on YouTube. Keep them short (2 minutes or so). How the house looked Before/After would be good.
Do those things and get back to me for more. You have some good opportunities for advertising with Google maps.

Hello Lance. I have taken a look at the sites and here are my suggestions;
1. You need to pick a VERY specific keyphrase you wish to rank for. With the competition you’re facing, you’ll need to be very specific. Here’s the product I used to discover how to do this; http://budurl.com/commrit
2. Your URLs are good – they reflect the traffic you are going after and most people forget to do that
3. You need VIDEO on your sites. Upload it to YouTube and other services (I use SEnuke to upload my videos)
4. You need to social bookmark (again you can automate that)
5. You need a lot more ORIGINAL CONTENT. Please see my FREE report on how to do that, here;

My name is Beat Schindler. I have a number of blogs. All of them rather neglected, but keen to re-kick-start and get them going again. Content isn\’t the main problem since I have accumulated quite a backlog of \’ready to go\’. My roadblocks, I feel, are mainly in the market/niche definition, keyword and keyword related and technical areas of blogging.
